signalMinder is a 100% solid-state device, which replaces the existing turn signal relay of your bike - in many cases this a simple plug-in procedure. But depending on your bike, you may need additional hook-up.

1. Locate the original turn signal flasher and replace it with appropriate signalMinder - attach ground wire if needed. The basic step will provide cancellation with 3 selectable timeouts. However, to utilize the built-in features of the signalMinder, following steps are needed.
2. Locate right and left signal wires and brake wire of the bike and tap into them with Scotchlock T-Tap connectors supplied. This step will enable:
- Running Lights - front and rear.
- 4-Way emergency flash and Escort mode flash.
- Brake override and Brake flash feature.
Finally, for the bikes with a SINGLE handlebar switch requiring Push-to-Cancel to bring the switch back to neutral, next step is needed.
3. Remove the turn signal switch from the handle bar and install either metal springs or foam plugs so that it returns to neutral. This step of modifying the handlebar switch transforms the bike to a fully automatic turn signal cancellation system.

Procedure: Acquire an engine compression gauge (screw-end type is recommended)., Make sure battery is fully charged. Remove all 4 spark plugs & disconnect coil (+) wire. Important: Remove air filter or hardware from top of carburetor, and use a tool to hold the main throttle plates of the carburetor fully open for the duration of this test. Screw the engine compression gauge, into spark-plug holes, beginning with #1 cylinder. Observe the highest number the gauge reads (the needle jerks upward about 4 times, then levels off), and write it down as the “dry” number for that engine cylinder.

2. Place 4″ carriage bolt through spacer(CM-SP4) and into existing holes from the inside of the frame (both sides).

3. Where the end cap was removed in step 1, place a 1/2″ x 1 1/4″ carriage bolt through spacer(CM-SP3) into the existing hole in the front bumper beam.
4. Hang side plates from carriage bolts installed in step 2 on the outside of the frames and finger tight with 1/2″ flange nuts.
5. Lift main body into place between side plates and loosely attach using 7/16″ carriage bolts and flange nuts as shown.
6. Attach straps of main body to 1/2″ carriage bolts placed in step 3. Finger tight with 1/2″ flange nuts.
7. Torque all 1/2″ fasteners to 75 ft.-lbs. and 7/16″ fasteners to 50 ft.-lbs. in the following order:
First: Fasten main body to side plates.
Second: Fasten strap to front bumper beam.
Third: Fasten side plates to frame

– Pull out cover -1- in direction of -arrow-.
– Open glove box door until door damper (brake element) actuator rod for door -arrow– is fully extended.
– Lightly apply silicone spray to brake element actuator rod -arrow-.
– Open and close glove box door 5 to 6 times and ensure noise or squeak has been eliminated during glove box door operation.
